Terms of Use

These terms cover using this website and sending us a parts enquiry through it. They are written to be read, not to be got past. If something here does not sit right with you, phone the counter and ask before you send anything.

1. Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by Renault Spares SA, at 89 Chris Hani Road, Briardene, Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal 4051. “We”, “us” and “our” below mean that business. “You” means anyone using the site.

2. What this site is, and is not

This is an enquiry service for Renault parts. It is not a shop. You cannot buy anything on this website, there is no checkout, and no price you see anywhere on it is an offer to sell.

Nothing on this site — not a parts page, not a model page, not a guide — is an offer capable of being accepted. When you send an enquiry you are asking us to look into something, and we may or may not be able to supply it.

3. Quotes

The written quote we send you is the offer. It is the only place a price from us means anything, and it takes precedence over anything on this website, in an advert, or said in passing on the phone.

• A quote is valid for the period stated on it, and only for the part described on it.
• A quote is not a reservation. Stock, particularly second-hand stock, is one-of-a-kind and can go to whoever settles first.
• Quotes are subject to the part still being available and to it being what it was described as when we sourced it.
• If something we quoted turns out not to be available, we will tell you and, where you have already paid, refund you or offer an alternative — your choice.

4. Getting the right part is a two-way job

We identify parts from what you tell us: the model, the year, the derivative, and the VIN or part numbers where you have them. Please give us accurate details and copy numbers across exactly.

If the details you give us are wrong or incomplete, the part we source against them may not fit your car, and that is not something we can carry. If you are not sure, say you are not sure — we would far rather ask you an extra question than send you the wrong thing.

Fitment guidance on this site, and anything in our guides, is general information to help you describe what you need. It is not a substitute for checking the part against your actual vehicle, and it is not workshop advice. We supply parts; we do not fit them and we are not responsible for how they are fitted.

5. Condition of parts

We supply new, aftermarket and used parts. Which one you are being offered is stated on your quote, and you should read that line before you accept it.

Used parts are exactly that — previously fitted to another vehicle. They are sold on the basis described in the quote, and normal signs of use are not a defect.

6. Returns, warranties and guarantees

Any return period or warranty that applies to your part is set out on the quote and invoice you receive, because it depends on the part and on whether it is new or used.

We are not going to state a blanket period on this page. A number published here that did not match the terms actually written on your invoice would help nobody. Read the quote, and if it does not say, ask the counter before you pay and get the answer in writing.

None of this takes away rights you have under South African consumer law, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. Where anything in these terms conflicts with a right that Act gives you, that Act wins.

7. Renault trade marks

“Renault” and the Renault model names used on this site are trade marks belonging to their owner. We use them only to identify which vehicles the parts we supply are intended to fit, which is what the law permits a parts supplier to do.

We are an independent parts supplier. We are not a Renault dealership, and we hold no franchise, agency, sponsorship, approval or endorsement from Renault or from any company in the Renault group. Nothing on this site should be read as suggesting otherwise. Parts we supply are new, aftermarket, OEM-equivalent or used unless your quote says otherwise.

8. Using this website

You may use this site to look for parts and to contact us. Please do not scrape it, copy its content wholesale, submit false enquiries or other people's contact details, or try to break, overload or get into parts of it that are not public.

The text, layout and images on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to link to any page.

9. Accuracy and availability

We put effort into keeping this site correct, but parts information is a large and moving subject and we do not promise that every page is free of errors or up to date at every moment. If you spot something wrong, please tell us — we would rather fix it.

We also do not promise the site will always be available. It can go down for maintenance, or because something outside our control has broken.

Where this site links out to somebody else's website, we are not responsible for what is on it.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site — things like lost income or the cost of a vehicle standing. Our responsibility for any part we actually supply is dealt with on the quote and invoice for that part.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act.

11. Your information

What we collect through this site, why, and who it is passed to is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by South African law, and any dispute goes before the South African courts.

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, dated at the top, and it applies to enquiries sent after it goes up.
